10 Things I've Learned

Hello lovelies, how have you been doing? I haven't been blogging much lately because of personal reasons, and during that time I've been reflecting. I've missed blogging so much hence this new post, where I like to share with you 10 things I have learned during this time of absense. I hope you enjoy.

1. Don't be a ‘flaky’ person!
People don't like associating themselves with people who are unreliable, extremely lazy and dishonest. If you've made plans with someone, don't just cancel on them last minute (unless it's a legitimate reason or - the two parties are feeling mutual about cancelling).

2. Relaxation/Me time is very important
You are human, most of us run on the adrenaline that is caused by stress. You need time to, unwind and relax, watch TV, do yoga or something to keep your mind off things. Don't let yourself get too bogged down by the stresses in life, you'll only feel torn apart and and ultimately burnt out.

3. Finance - budgeting and saving.
It is so important to save and budget your money throughout the week, month and year. There may be times where, you're unable to borrow from friends and family, and it is just convenient to have financial security.

4. Be honest, but not too straight forward
You're never going to get anywhere if you lie to people telling them that, you want to “do something together,” or just “miss them.” You are in control of your life, the choices you make and the things you do. If you don't want to catch up with someone for instance, it doesn't hurt to say no.

However, there are times where you need to lie, well to an extent. You don't want to be so straightforward and let your inner judgemental side come out, as potentially hurt someone else's feelings. (Unless you two are all about the banter and you know it's okay.)

5. Focus on both your mental and physical health
To be at the peak of your health, you need to balance out both physical and mental factors of health. Mental illness are more serious than you think, just because some may think that it isn't an issue… the problem may arise and lead to even physical health problems. Take care of yourself, please.

To ease stresses in life, you can make it a routine to do some yoga! Yoga would be really be both beneficial for both aspects.

6. Focus on yourself
Look after yourself first, make sure that you are happy and content with everything before, forcing yourself to help others.

7. “Don't buy things, buy experiences”
When I was told this, I was confused but I get it now. Going to explore, discover and venture new things and essentially unravelling your inner self is the most beautiful thing in the world.

8. Karma actually exists
I was a firm believer for sometime that Karma isn't a thing… oh how wrong was I?

9. Friends come and go
That's fine, because it's all about growing in life, most things will come to an end. I believe that people come into your life, to teach you something. The span of your friendship/relationship with a person may differ, but in the end every person in your life has made an impact.

10. Life is not a competition!
Life isn’t a competition or race, you can't compare your life to “someone's else's ruler.” You are unique and beautiful in your own way, flaunt what you've got!

As always, thank you for reading! What are some things you have learned during your time of reflection?
